A COA is a document from an independent laboratory certifying a product's identity, purity, and quality. Every Just Peptides product ships with a batch-specific COA from an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited third-party lab.

All our peptides are independently tested to ≥99% purity by HPLC through accredited US-based laboratories. Purity data, mass spectrometry confirmation, and water content (Karl Fischer) are included in each COA.

Most do include some kind of certificate — the real question is who issued it. Many source theirs from the same overseas manufacturer that produced and sold the compound, which is self-certification with a different letterhead, not third-party testing. Others use a real third-party lab that simply isn't accredited — a small, unknown operation with no external audit of its methods, equipment, or competence. And some recycle a single COA across multiple batches, sometimes months apart. A certificate from an unaccredited lab, with an uncertain chain of custody, or a mismatched lot number is not meaningful quality assurance.

A COA is only as credible as the lab that issued it. If the manufacturer provides it, they have a direct financial incentive to pass their own product. If the lab is not independently accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, there is no external validation of their methods, equipment calibration, or competence. At Just Peptides, the testing lab has no relationship with our suppliers beyond the testing fee, and their ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation means their methods and results are subject to independent audit.
