CJC-1295 (Mod GRF 1-29) is a modified GHRH(1-29) analog, and Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue that activates the ghrelin receptor without meaningfully affecting cortisol or prolactin — a selectivity profile that has distinguished it from earlier GHRP-class secretagogues in published pharmacology research. Combined, they're studied as a dual-pathway model for pulsatile GH release: GHRH receptor agonism paired with ghrelin receptor agonism.
Mechanism of Action
CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating endogenous GH release, while Ipamorelin binds the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) via a separate signaling pathway. Research has used the combination to study the additive pharmacodynamic effect of engaging both receptor systems simultaneously, compared to either mechanism studied in isolation.
